AEW Dynamite episode of May 29, 2024, will be the fallout episode from Double or Nothing 2024. A Casino Gauntlet match is set to find the challenger for AEW World Championship at Forbidden Door 2024 PPV. Swerve Strickland was able to retain AEW World Championship against Christian Cage on Sunday. However, he will not have much time to breathe easy as he will get to know about his next challenger to defend the title at Forbidden Door. AEW has not made it clear whether any of the NJPW talent will also be in contention for the title , Chris Jericho’s current gimmick in AEW plays off a lot of the criticism he has received from wrestling fans on the internet, such as how effective (or ineffective) he is at using his experience in the business to elevate young talent. Jericho has now become “The Learning Tree” and obnoxiously talks about how everyone who enters the Jericho Vortex comes out better on the other side, whether friend or foe.
This gimmick change quickly led to an FTW championship win for Chris and a new pupil in “The Redwood” Big Bill. Jericho retained the belt over HOOK and Katsuyori Shibata this past weekend at Double or Nothing thanks to “Bounty Hunter” Bryan Keith, who clearly hopes to sit under The Learning Tree and benefit from the Jericho Vortex.Swerve Strickland will be in action in a singles match while Mercedes Mone will celebrate her TBS title win.
